Jason Mallia
Director of Operations
One of Chemtronics longest serving employees, Jason joined Chemtronics in 1998 and has now been with the company for 18+ years. Jason has held varied roles over his time with Chemtronics. Starting predominantly in technical roles, Jason moved into the management team early in his tenure with Chemtronics. Jason has been pivotal in setting up and delivering outcomes with a number of new business ventures for the group. A diverse manager, Jason has settled into his role at Chemtronics Direct and continues to build the business. With a strong technical background in electronics, Jason continued his postgraduate studies whilst working at Chemtronics and completed his MBA. Jason has proven his unique skill set can be applied to varied business situations ensuring favourable outcomes for the group.
Freddy Ahmar
Regional Operations Manager - VIC
Freddy joined Chemtronics Biomedical Engineering in 1998 as a Field service Engineer after completing his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering incorporating Biomedical Engineering. While working at Chemtronics Freddy continued to improve his skills by completing his post graduate MBA studies and continued to supplement his high levels of electrical skills with a Mechanical engineering course in support of his abilities in fitting and turning as well as the Medical gas servicing. Freddy had been promoted on a number of occasions to his current position as the Regional Operations Manager. Freddy’s unique abilities in the service delivery are always called upon and he strives for high levels of positive outcomes to customers and Chemtronics.
Paul Briggs
Service Manager
Paul joined Chemtronics Direct in October 2017 seeking a new challenge. Paul’s background in quality control management and continuous improvement disciplinary derived from 16 years’ experience obtain in the automotive industry, coupled with experience in IT systems allowed him to provide Chemtronics Direct a diverse set of skills. Paul is now responsible for the day-to-day management of the Chemtronics Direct field technicians operating throughout Victoria. Paul continues to provide technical assistance and training to our team of technicians in both Victoria and NSW. Paul strives for our staff to achieve better standards, quality of work and build better relationships with both our customers and business partners.
Sarah Casey
Occupational Therapist
Sarah is an occupational therapist whose primary role with Chemtronics is to support community occupational therapists and physiotherapists to prescribe SWEP funded reissue equipment. Sarah began working for SWEP, alongside Chemtronics, in April, 2015. Her role expanded and she joined the Chemtronics team in March 2016. Sarah brings extensive knowledge and experience in equipment prescription to her position, with a particular focus on wheelchair and supportive seating prescription. Sarah is committed to achieving positive outcomes for clients and their families. She does this via extensive consultation with prescribers, thorough assessment and wheelchair fitting appointments at Chemtronics. Sarah is motivated towards optimising the service Chemtronics can offer, working closely with other team members to aid in its continual development.
Tim Belleville
Rehabilitation Technician
Tim’s involvement with Chemtronics Direct commenced with the association of the SWEP program back in 2012. Tim has been working in the Assistive Technology industry for close to 25 years and has a very broad knowledge of AT equipment and its functionality. He is highly motivated to see the best outcome for the client and for the most efficient use of resources available. Tim’s role at Chemtronics Direct is to assist SWEP, prescribers and his colleagues with sourcing equipment and facilitating a positive outcome for all involved.
Patrick Portier
Warehouse & Distribution Manager
After serving a long-term career in the industrial & hardware retail markets Patrick decided to change his direction to work for a not-for-profit organisation and has now been with Chemtronics since 2014. Patrick has a background in management science and mechanical engineering and has held senior positions in global manufacturing companies of machines, tools and accessories. Patrick brings to Chemtronics a range of skills and experience gained from the roles he has held in General, Product, Quality and Project Management. He has a strong zest for process development & continuous improvement and is aiming to use his attributes to support the company in meeting its business objectives.
Frank Santilli
Workshop Manager
Frank has been a part of Chemtronics since 2013. He gained proficiency in assistive technologies working in the reissue team. Frank then progressed to manage the reissue and workshop repair departments.
Frank has had a long and varied working history after his studies in mechanical engineering. He has run a repetition engineering business, manufacturing a wide range of products. He then went on to work for an R & D company that designed and manufactured DC power supply systems and transformer technologies for global markets. During this time Frank had worked on tooling for the manufacture of prototype artificial heart components. He also was a major contributor to the design and implementation of a production line to supply Cochlear.
Over the years, Frank has been able to apply his skills to assist parts of the community with their daily challenges.
